San Diego, Calif. – April 10, 2025–lintasnusa.com–U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. James A. Ryans II, commanding general of Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD) San Diego and Western Recruiting Region, joined by Col. David Hyman, Branch Head of Manpower Management Officer Assignments, led a spirited motivational run at MCRD San Diego.

The run marked a significant moment for the graduating company, as it is the final physical training event recruits undertake before officially becoming United States Marines. The three-mile cadence run, which looped around the Depot, served not only as a test of endurance, but also as a celebration of the transformation these individuals have undergone during their time in recruit training.

For many families and friends gathered, this event was particularly meaningful — it was the first time they witnessed their recruits as Marines, standing tall with confidence, pride, and purpose.
